We were together in Greece and Egypt in September 1973 after the Gnosticism conference in Stockholm. We did some sight-seeing in Greece and then went on to Cairo where Charlie and I worked on the Nag Hammadi manuscripts. Karen got over a spell of "Gyppie Tummy" in time to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary with dinner at Groppis. Then the four of us sat out on the balcony of our room at the old Semiramis Hotel drinking Cherry Herring.
